We had an awesome time at the 2011 WDW Foodie Fest this year! Check out some fun pics and scavenger hunt links here!

From our October 2nd Scavenger Hunt event to the October 4th Snack Attack Illuminations Dessert Party, and the Kimonos Sushi and Sake meet-up after the Desserts Around the World Event -- it was a fantastic week of noshing, laughing, and enjoying the company of so many wonderful people.

For those who were able to make it to a few of the events, many thanks!! If you weren't there, we missed you and hope to see you at other DFB Events!

The 2011 WDW Foodie Fest is coming together quickly, and this year we have FOUR (at last count!) events scheduled!

Oct. 2: WDW Foodie Fest Main Event

The main event at Ariel's takes place on October 2nd from 11am-1pm. This event includes the annual WDW Foodie Fest scavenger hunt through Epcot!

Disney treats, like Mickey Bars and Rice Krispie Treats, will be provided! There will also be fruit for those wishing to be a bit more healthy! ;-)

(You WILL need Epcot admission to take part in the scavenger hunt, but you do NOT need Epcot admission to come to the WDW Foodie Fest event itself.)

If you're not the scavenger hunt type (or you prefer to stay in the air conditioning!), stick around at Ariel's for games, food, and fun!

When: Sunday, October 2nd, 2011
Where: Ariel's at Disney's Beach Club Resort
Cost: Free

Oct. 4: WDW Foodie Fest Snack Attack Illuminations Dessert Party, Featuring DFB Favorites!

We're SO excited about this one! Save the date for the evening of Tuesday, October 4th to take part in an incredible Disney Food event like nothing you've ever seen before! Featuring a menu of Disney Food Blog favorite snacks like Butterfinger Cupcakes, cheesecake brownies from the Boardwalk Bakery, Mickey Bars, School Bread, and Zebra Domes! If you're a Disney Food fan, you won't want to miss this! (Number of tickets will be limited!)

When: Tuesday, October 4, 2011
Where: Epcot special event location
Cost: $40/person

WDW Foodie Fest Sweet Stroll

Join me for a trip around the World in Epcot's World Showcase. Our focus on this stroll: desserts! We'll be stopping to sample some of our favorite sweet treats at the countries of the World Showcase.

You WILL need Epcot admission to attend this event.

When: Thursday, October 6th. 11am.
Where: Epcot, World Showcase. We'll be starting in Mexico, so we'll meet at the tables at La Cantina de San Angel.
Cost: Free to stroll, but budget enough to cover your chosen pastries and treats.

WDW Foodie Fest Sushi and Sake Meet

Let's head over to Kimonos at the Disney World Swan Resort for an evening of sushi, singing, good fun and friends! With some of the best sushi on property -- and the only spot for karaoke! -- we're expecting some seriously good times.

When: Friday, October 7th. 5:30pm start time. End time ???. We'll likely be there for at least a couple of hours.
Where: Kimonos, Disney World Swan
Cost: This is simply a meet-up for anyone who wants to join in. Those who stop by are responsible for purchasing their own food and drink.

So excited to share that we've locked in the official dates for the 2011 Disney Food Blog WDW Foodie Fest!

Join us from October 2nd through October 8th, 2011 for some incredible events, great food, and good fun.

The Main WDW Foodie Fest Event -- many of you will remember this from last year -- will take place from 11am-1pm on Sunday, October 2nd, at Disney's Beach Club Resort! Find out more specs on our Details page, which will be updated regularly as we get closer to the event!

Also, we have some surprises for you this year, including extra events throughout the week and more activities and goodies (edible and otherwise!) at the WDW Foodie Fest itself!
